Memories from first grade

I have so many memories from first grade but sme of them had just stuck with me and I think I might want to write them down because maybe in the future, I won't remember.

We were in math class, taking a math test on this day. I got really stumped on a question that had two candy bars involved. It said that one candy weighed this much for this price and the other weighed this much for that much. I didn't know what the answer was so I decided that "I had seen them at the store." Turns out in the end that I got that question wrong. My teacher Mrs. Bunnel, over the top of the page, in big letters, wrote, "Nice try sweetie. These cande bars were made up." I was really imberresed because when my parents saw this, they asked what this wasall about.

Another time is when my friends and I were outside playing jump rope, who is faster. My friends Logan and Becca decided to race around a track. Logan was behind and so I had the urge to help her out. So this is what I said, "Logan, I'm telling on you, you can do this." I still don't remember what I was trying to say but it should have either been, "I'm couting on you", or "I'm telling you." She got mad at me so I couldn't really explain and she also lost the race.

When you go to school not even knowing the language, you kind of have to guess which words mean what. I didn't really know what store was in English so this is how our conversation went.
"So, what did you do over the weekend?"
"I went to the magazine."
Yes, I can't believe I said that but I did and then the entire day, I was made fun of. It would have been kind of good to study a bit of English during the summer. And I didn't go to kindergarden so that kind of explains why.
